The annual Prescription Drug Take Back Day in Milford will be held next weekend.

Police are hoping that city residents will show up to the event on Oct. 24 at the Milford Senior Center.

The drop-off service will be drive-thru only and is free and anonymous.

Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from home medicine cabinets.
