A Metro-North train slammed into one of its own service vans Thursday in Southport.
According to a Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) spokesperson, the service vehicle got stuck on the tracks. The MTA says the driver tried to flag down the train that was headed to New York City but the train did not stop in time.
The van's driver was not injured, but two passengers were treated at the scene. A pregnant woman was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The train was delayed for about 45 minutes as passengers were moved to another train. The MTA is investigating the incident.
