One Bridgeport neighborhood enjoys a sigh of relief Tuesday after a chainsaw eliminated what they called, ?a silent hazard? on their street.
Residents on Anston Street say thanks to the Parks Department they no longer have to fear the day a broken tree limb would fall on someone walking on their street. The tree branch broke after a storm two weeks ago. One resident says he called Bridgeport?s fire and police departments but nothing was done. He finally attended the Mayor's community meeting Monday and expressed his concerns for the safety of himself and his neighbors.
All southwestern Connecticut residents are advised to report environmental concerns to the Parks Department.
