Mother: Teens attacked daughter at Seaside Park
A Bridgeport woman is asking for justice after she says a friend of her daughter was attacked at Seaside Park over the weekend.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, says she was with her 14-year-old daughter Saturday afternoon at Seaside Park when some 18-year-old girls allegedly started harassing her and her friend.
The woman says the girls went to their car for protection, but the older teens still tried to come after them in the car.
Police say the girl's 13-year-old friend was punched in the face and treated and released from Bridgeport Hospital.
Bridgeport police say they did respond to the incident, but by the time they arrived the altercation had broken up and the suspects had left.
The woman says words between the teens had been exchanged on Facebook prior to the alleged incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police.
No arrests have been made.
