Two recent sightings of mountain lions have been reported in New Canaan.
Officials say that the first sighting occurred on Lamberts Road back on July 6. A second mountain lion was spotted at Turner Hill and Valley roads two weeks later on July 20.
The animals are not commonly seen in Connecticut, however, a mountain lion was struck and killed on the Wilbur Cross Parkway in Milford last year.
