Just hours after being Tasered by Milford police Thursday night, a 24-year-old man in police custody mysteriously died. Officers say they discovered Nicholas Brown sweating profusely inside his cell during a routine check. He then went into cardiac arrest and died en route to Milford Hospital.Police say he was arrested outside a Red Roof Inn after a desk clerk complained he was sitting inside his car with an aggressive pit bull. They say he was uncooperative and tried to run, prompting police to Taser him. Police say he then pulled something out of his pocket and swallowed it. Fearing he may have been trying to grab a weapon, police say they Tasered him again. Milford police say everything was done according to protocol. They say that Brown had previous drug arrests and admitted to swallowing two burnt marijuana cigarettes Thursday night. Autopsy results are expected to be back on Monday.
