#N12BK: Series finale of ''Scandal''
The hit TV show "Scandal" on ABC aired its final episode last night bringing an end to the show's six-year, seven-season run.
The show debuted in April 2012 and drew an audience for its crazy plot twists.
According to the Washington Post, it was the first time in nearly four decades a black woman was the lead on a prime-time network show.
Actress Kerry Washington’s portrayal of a character who is based on Judy Smith, a crisis management expert who worked with clients like Monica Lewinsky, has skyrocketed her into the spotlight.
The Washington, D.C. drama touched on everything from police brutality to abortion, and the show helped spawn a movement of live-tweeting TV shows.
The show has been nominated for many awards and won a Peabody Award and several Emmy and NAACP Image Awards.
