While most municipalities have decided against their annual Fourth of July fireworks shows, some towns are still going through with them - but with new rules.
The festival was canceled this year in Naugatuck, but the fireworks display still took place Thursday.
The town encouraged viewers to pick a spot in the hills of the valley to watch the show.
The town says it is the perfect spot for a socially distant fireworks display.
Police were monitoring the location.
