News 12 has learned that the Navy Seal who was killed in an operation in Somalia last week was a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
School officials say Kyle Milliken, who lives in Maine, was a 2011 graduate and a member of the track and field team.
Milliken was on a mission targeting a local Al-Shabbab leader when he was killed in a remote area of Somalia on Thursday, officials say.
The UConn Track and Field Coach says the school has lost "an alum who has made us proud."
