Gladys Kronovitter has lived on the Flat Rock Road property for 60 years. For the last 10 years, she hasn't had electricity and she's been without running water. Her property is filled with piles of old milk crates, empty pet cages and trash.
Kronovitter no longer lives in the home but instead lives out of an old trailer. Last week, a judge ordered her off the property. But the first selectman in Easton stepped in Monday and says Kronovitter can stay on her family-owned property as long as improvements are made.
Neighbors are now asking community members for help in filling the dumpsters with garbage found across the property. Those interested in helping can call Marnie Waiwat at 650-6972.
