New housing project dedicated to low-income families
Developers are breaking ground on the Tremont Renaissance, one of the largest new mixed income projects in the city.
The project will have nearly 260 apartments, and half of those will be dedicated to low-income families.
A family looking for a three bedroom can expect to pay between $1,200 and $2,000 a month, depending on family size and income.
In addition to the new apartments, planners say the Tremont Renaissance will create approximately 300 construction jobs and 175 permanent jobs. It's set to open in 2018.
