New Jersey Devils ask fans to pick goal song
The New Jersey Devils are asking fans to choose which song should be played after the team scores a goal while playing at home in Newark.
After several rounds of voting, fans have narrowed it down to three songs – two of which are sung by New Jersey musicians.
The three songs are: “Howl” by New Brunswick-based The Gaslight Anthem, “Hip Hop Hooray” by East Orange-based Naughty By Nature or “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen.
The Devils are currently using “Howl” as the goal song. But Devils star Taylor Hall posted on Twitter that he wants fans to choose “Hip Hop Hooray.”
The Devils say that the song will be revealed on opening night at the Prudential Center on Friday, Oct. 4.
