New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was in Trumbull Monday stumping for Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley.
The trip was Christie's third time campaigning for Foley as head of the Republican Governor's Association.
Christie arrived at Foley campaign headquarters Monday afternoon on Main Street. After some handshaking, it was off to the phone banks to call prospective voters.
Christie's visit comes as a new public policy poll shows Gov. Dannel Malloy leading Foley by eight points.
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama will be in Greenwich tomorrow to raise money for Democratic Senate candidates. Gov. Malloy will not be with the president, as he had a previous commitment to attend. His office says he looks forward to campaigning with the president before Election Day.
