New program for teens begins in Stamford
The Stamford Boys and Girls Club has kicked off a safe zone program for teens. 
Officials say the club partnered with the City of Stamford to designate the Yerwood Center as a safe zone.
They say the center will organize activities like basketball and resume writing workshops for teens.
Club officials say they want to make sure kids have a positive place to relax and play at night in the summertime.
Organizers say the program will be begin at 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and run through August.
