Some are calling it an Easter miracle that no one was hurt after a tense nine-hour standoff between Stamford police and a heavily-armed gunman.
Police say they had no choice but to evacuate a condominium complex when a 60-year-old fire arms specialist barricaded himself inside his home and threatened to commit suicide.
Police closed down the West Avenue Exit of I-95, as the Stamford Police Department's Special Response and Hostage Negotiation Teams tried to persuade the man to surrender.
After nine hours, the unidentified man surrendered and was put under arrest.
