Crowds of people celebrated the 40th anniversary and new expansion of Stew Leonard's flagship store Tuesday.

Stew Leonard Sr. says the Westport Avenue store was originally 1,500-square feet. Leonard's has now expanded to 5,000-square feet.

Outside the store, the Leonards and local politicians cut a ribbon to mark the reopening of the store. Leonard Sr. says the new area allows customers to watch the employees making fresh food, right in front of them.

The Leonard family reports they are looking for a new location for the store.
