Sasha Moss says her home, which was destroyed by a fire on Monday, is the same place she's lived for her entire life with her husband, mother and two children.
Thankfully, Moss was able to escape along with four members of her family, a friend and a dog. A family cat died in the fire.
Crews reported a garage filled with flammable liquids and propane tanks, and three cars were on fire in the driveway.
Two neighbors were treated for smoke inhalation, and one firefighter was taken to Norwalk Hospital with heat exhaustion.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. However, the presence of working smoke alarms is said to be the only thing that prevented the incident from being even more serious.
