Following a number of fires, including one last week that set off several explosions, LaJoie's Scrap and Recycling in Norwalk says it is looking into taking steps to prevent future fires.
LaJoie's managers, city and state officials met today to discuss issues with the Meadow Street facility.
Fire officials say that a super heated oil line ruptured, causing last week's fire and explosions.
LaJoie's says it is looking into scrapping oil and going electric to prevent another oil fire.
