Norwalk police honor former officers in memorial service
Norwalk police today held a ceremony to honor the lives of those lost in the line of duty.
Police held a memorial service outside headquarters to remember four officers lost in the department over the years, as well as those killed across the region and country.
In addition to line of duty deaths, Chief Thomas Kulhawik said this year the department is also remembering those for whom the trauma and pressures of the job were too much, and ended up committing suicide.
Today's ceremony was part of National Police Week.
