A Sunday afternoon shooting on Kossuth Street in Norwalk left a man hospitalized, police say.
Congregants at a church service nearby say they could hear four or five gunshots from inside.
Responding officers found a man with two gunshot wounds in the street, one in each leg. He was taken to a hospital, and officials say they expect him to recover.
It's the city's second shooting in four days. The first injured a man on Orchard Street last Thursday.
"Any shootings are of great concern to us," says Lt. Terry Blake, of the Norwalk Police Department. "Patrols have been added to the area, and our investigators are working diligently to try to and figure out the motive and the suspects for these cases."
Police say the shooting does not appear to be random. A friend of the victim asked not to be identified but also pleaded with the public to give police any information that could lead to an arrest.
"A car description, a description of a person, anything, just come forward," he said.
