Norwalk police on lookout for shooting suspects
Police in Norwalk are searching for suspects in an overnight shooting that left a man hospitalized. Investigators say Carlos Gomez, 19, was shot shortly after midnight near the corner of Chestnut and Monroe streets. They say he was on his way back from a convenience store when he was attacked by two men wearing ski masks. Police say one of the men fired three shots, hitting Gomez twice. A friend of the victim says the shooting is likely a response to a previous incident. Hospital officials say he is expected to recover. Anyone with information is asked to call Norwalk police at 203-854-3000.
