Residents on Silvermine Avenue in Norwalk say their neighbor's beekeeping business is disturbing the neighborhood and despite their complaints, the city has ruled that the business is perfectly legal.
Neighbors say there's about a half a million bees inhabiting Andrew Cote's front yard and that his large storage containers and unkempt backyard are creating an eyesore.
Norwalk's Department of Planning and Zoning and apiary inspector say Cote is operating within the law. Cote says he will continue his beekeping business and that he hopes his neighbors will talk to him directly if they have a grievance.
