Dozens of volunteers helped fulfill hundreds of Thanksgiving meals that will be donated to families in need.
Open Doors homeless shelter in Norwalk and Bob McGee, of the first congregational Church of Darien, helped to organize the event.
"It's a pleasure to us to be able to give people something that makes their dinners as nice as our dinners are," McGee says.
Volunteers loaded bags with Thanksgiving meal essentials that will be donated to 200 families across Norwalk.
Open Doors has donated Thanksgiving meals to families in need for more than fifteen years.
Organizers say 95 people who stay at the shelter each night will also receive a special holiday meal too.
