(AP) - A Norwalk teen has pleaded guilty to raping a 10-year-old girl and faces 10 years in prison.
Sixteen-year-old Lamonte Corey accepted a plea deal Wednesday in Stamford Superior Court and was convicted of first-degree sexual assault. After the prison time, he must serve 35 years of probation and be listed on the state's sex offender registry.
Corey was 15 years old at the time of the rape on Aug. 1, 2007. The girl told police that she was helping someone move into a duplex on South Main Street when Corey attacked her.
The plea agreement also calls for a lifelong restraining order prohibiting Corey from contacting the victim, and he will have to undergo sex offender evaluation and treatment.
