Norwalk volunteers clean up parks, streets across the city

Norwalk residents are doing their part with the 2021 Citywide Spring Cleanup.

Norwalk residents are doing their part with the 2021 Citywide Spring Cleanup.
Some participants began the cleanup at John H. Ryan Park in Norwalk.
Over 100 volunteers took part in the year's spring event.
Volunteers in yellow jackets were picking up trash and litter in parks and along the streets.
Volunteers spread out throughout the city in small groups.
Keep Norwalk Beautiful is supplying gloves, bags, litter pick-up tools and other supplies.
Easy Coast Kombucha Company on Chestnut Street is serving as the central location and meeting point.
Saturday's clean-up is focused on keeping the community clean and safe.
Organizers hope their efforts motivate the community to continue cleaning and making their neighborhood a safe environment.
