Norwalk police say the 29-year-old woman was attacked by a man waiting inside her doorway as she entered her apartment. They say she struggled briefly with the assailant and was able to fight him off and run for help. A neighbor said the victim had been walking her dog during her lunch break and was accosted when she came home. According to police, the woman was not raped and her injuries are not life threatening.
