Connecticut state police say a woman from New York was arrested for DUI and driving the wrong way on I-95 in Greenwich.
Officials say a Troop G desk personnel initially observed the car on a DOT highway camera.
They say the desk personnel noticed a red Honda HR-V traveling in reverse in the right and center lanes northbound of I-95.
Police identified the driver as Flavia Cristina De Almeida Gomes, 49, from West Harrison, New York.
State police said oncoming traffic swerved to avoid colliding with De Almeida Gomes.
De Almeida Gomes was taken into custody. Some of her charges include driving under the influence, reckless endangerment and wrong-way driving.
De Almeida Gomes was released on a $2,500 cash bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Stamford Superior Court in April.
Connecticut State Police asked that anyone who observes a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction please keep a safe distance away and call 911 as soon as possible.
