Officials: 5 residents displaced following Bridgeport house fire

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. at 125 Pixlee Place.

Five people are without a home after a fire Saturday night in Bridgeport.
It happened just before 11:30 p.m. at 125 Pixlee Place.
Fire crews found smoke coming from the roof. It then spread to the second floor in the attic of the two-story home and a second alarm was declared.
The Fairfield and Stratford fire departments were called in to aid the situation.
No one was injured and everyone was able to make it out on their own. The Red Cross is assisting the residents and four animals.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
