Officials: Bobcat who attacked camp counselors in Lyme was rabid

DEEP officials say one of the counselors was asleep in a hammock when the animal attacked him.

Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officials say the bobcat that attacked three adult camp counselors last Friday in Lyme was rabid.
According to authorities, the attack happened in Selden Neck State Park.
DEEP officials say one of the counselors was asleep in a hammock when the animal attacked him.
All three adult counselors, including the man, then killed the bobcat to protect the young campers.
The counselors were treated at a hospital.
