Stratford officials say a dozen people were forced from their home when a fire broke out in a multifamily house Sunday morning.
Firefighters responded to a call just after 10:30 a.m. to 812 Surf Ave., where officials say the fire appears to have sparked in a first-floor apartment.
Fire Chief Robert McGrath says his firefighters did an excellent job getting the situation under control quickly.
No one was hurt, but families are now dealing with being displaced in cold temperatures.
