A fire destroyed a home in Fairfield early
Saturday morning and left one resident with minor burns.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out around 12 a.m. on Ruane Street.
Neighbors notified 911 and alerted sleeping residents that their home was on fire.
Winds contributed
to the fire accelerating and damaging the siding of one neighbor’s home.
Flames also spread onto the roof and attic of a third
home.
One resident suffered minor burns
and was taken to the hospital. The house where the fire started is uninhabitable.
