Officials give all-clear following 2 bomb threats in Bridgeport

Officials gave the all-clear after bomb threats were made to the Bridgeport train station and a building on Park Avenue, officials say.

Officials gave the all-clear after bomb threats were made to the Bridgeport train station and a building on Park Avenue, officials say.
The Bridgeport Fire Department tweeted that a man called in a threat to Bridgeport's Emergency Communication Center just before 10 a.m.
Officials say the man called and reported that a bomb would go off at the Bridgeport train station in 10 minutes.
A short time later Alliance, formerly ABCD, at 1070 Park Ave.was also shut down, then re-opened a short time later.
Bridgeport police, the fire department and the MTA police are investigating.
Officials had also evacuated the area near the train station as a precaution.
Police say they could not verify the claims the caller made.
