A man is in critical condition after suffering burns during a house fire in Torrington Wednesday morning fire officials say.

Fire officials say the two-alarm fire broke out at 230 Cedar Lane just before 3:30 a.m.

Officials say the man suffered burns in the fire and LifeStar was called in to transport him to Bridgeport Hospital's burn ward.

A dog was also rescued from the fire and appeared to be OK. 

Fire officials say the fire was put out, and they are working to determine the cause.
