Officials: Man shot by police after holding hostages in home

Investigators say a Jackson Township police officer shot and wounded a man armed with a knife in a home on Saturday.
Police say officers responded to a 911 call that a man armed with a knife was holding people hostage.
When they entered the home, they found a 22-year-old man wielding a knife in a threatening manner.
At least one officer fired a gun, striking the man.
The unidentified man was taken to the hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
