Parents demand answers about school with no heat
Some parents are demanding answers and a solution Tuesday about a Bridgeport school with no heat.
Joanne Morales says students in her son?s class at the ABCD Learning Center have to wear coats and sweaters during the day. She says when she checked the building?s thermostat, it was on 60 degrees.
The school is located at the Hall Neighborhood House at 52 George Pitkins Way. The building is divided into two sections. The landlord, who lives on the other side, admits there is a heating issue that he is working on. However, he says he is not in charge of the school or its students.
On Monday, teachers moved the students to the gymnasium. Morales feels more needs to be done. Morales says she also tried to reach out to Mayor Bill Finch to no avail.
