New Jersey saw flooding conditions for the second day in a row as powerful rainstorms crossed over the state.

New Jersey saw flooding conditions for the second day in a row as powerful rainstorms crossed over the state.
The storms brought heavy rain, strong winds and lots of thunder and lighting.
Parts of Route 72 in Ocean County saw major flooding – with cars having to travel through several inches of water..
In Monmouth County some streets in Marlboro had to be barricaded so that people didn’t drive out on to flooded roadways.
Birmingham Road in Manalapan was submerged, leading to some people having to be rescued by boat.
Flash flooding was a big concern around all areas of the state. Some residents of Scotch Plains and Clark were caught off guard by the quick floods, which occurred around rush hour.
There were not any reports of any injuries, but there was some property damage.
The flooding had mostly receded by Thursday night.
