People crowded into a Stamford spa Thursday to snag goodies, all in the name of charity.
The Noelle Spa for Beauty and Wellness sold homemade scarves, purses and jewelry. All of the profits will go toward The Noel Foundation, which provides money to cancer patients.
Peter DiCaprio started the foundation eight years ago in the name of his wife, who died from cancer. He said he empathizes with patients.
"Your bills don't stop, you're not feeling well and many people try to hold on to their jobs," agreed Michelle Palazzo, of the Bennett Cancer Center.
DiCaprio has answered the prayers of many. Since it started, the Noel Foundation has provided $250,000 worth of assistance to people in the form of everything from car payments to money for a wedding.
