Norwalk police say they have put down the pit bull that attacked a man earlier this week.
Investigators say the animal broke free while out on a walk and began attacking a 60-year-old man.
Police say the animal bit his ankle down to the bone.
Officers say they had to Taser the dog four times.
The same dog was involved in another attack back in May.
Police say the dog's owner is facing minor charges and agreed to turn the dog over to police.
