A new campaign for women is seeking to prevent the spread of HIV in the Bronx while also aiding people who live with the disease.
Planned Parenthood of New York City launched the "Your Body Needs You" campaign in the South Bronx.
Health officials say there are more than 32,000 women in New York City living with HIV or AIDS. Around 90 percent of them are women of color.
Officials with the nonprofit say the victims are primarily African-American or Hispanic between ages 20 and 44.
The initiative is offering counseling, a mobile medical unit, screenings and other support services, officials say.
