It’s not the kind of after school activity you’d expect from a child.
According to Suffolk police, a 10-year-old Shoreham boy drove his parents’ Ford Expedition for approximately 30 minutes.
The joyride started at around 4:15 Tuesday afternoon at the boy’s home on Briarcliff Road.
It ended when a tire blew out on the William Floyd Parkway near Whiskey Road in Ridge.
The boy was not hurt. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Police are investigating the incident.
