Police in Bridgeport and Stratford are trying to put together the case of a missing woman after body parts were found in a marsh, and the man who last saw her alive took his own life.
Chopper 12 was above the scene in Stratford after officers found a dismembered body Monday afternoon.
Police have not yet identified the body as belonging to Minnie Lincoln, 57, of Bridgeport.
She has been missing for more than a week.
Police tell News 12 Connecticut that Marcus Jackson, 36, fatally shot himself at his Stratford home Monday, just as they were on their way to question him.
Lincoln's family members gathered after the body parts were found, hoping to learn more.
Lincoln was last seen on March 27 when she left the Old Timers Club on Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport with Marcus Jackson who works for the city.
Police say she rode away with Jackson in his pickup truck. They say they're working with the state medical examiner, and expect to identify the remains later today.
