Police in Bridgeport say they plan to step up patrols in some neighborhoods after cameras captured several cases of vandalism.
Sonya Thompson says her home-business Angels U R Daycare on Capital Avenue was targeted multiple times over the past several weeks. She says she is working with police to find the teens that were captured on her home surveillance system.
The video appears to show the teens destroying her property. On one occasion, the teens appear to play with her pumpkin and then smash it onto a parked car.
On another occasion, the teens pull down her business sign and throw it into the driveway. They then break her Christmas decorations, while one suspect gets caught up in the lights.
Police say they are using the surveillance video to capture the suspects. They also say they are stepping up patrols in the area and working with the resource officer at a nearby school to identify and charge the vandals.
