Norwalk police say they have a person of interest in a fatal shooting yesterday afternoon, adding that the incident was not random. Authorities say the victim, 35-year-old John Alston, was shot in the stomach after getting into an argument with another man. They say the incident happened on South Main Street near Woodward Avenue. The suspect fled the scene. The victim's girlfriend says he was from Chicago and did not have any family in the area.
