Bridgeport police are asking for your help in tracking down the man responsible for a deadly stabbing Memorial Day weekend.

Investigators say they have an arrest warrant for Mario Chavez, 51.

He is wanted for the the murder of 23-year-old Francisco Barbosa.

Police say Chavez stabbed Barbosa on Arctic Street last month after Barbosa tried to help a man who was being attacked. Police had originally said the victim was a woman but today said it was actually a man with long hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on Chavez's whereabouts to give them a call at (203) 581-5201.
