(AP) - Connecticut State Police have made an arrest in the 2013 death of a woman found in a car at an Interstate 95 entrance ramp.
Authorities said Cesar "David" Martinez was arrested in a Bridgeport courtroom without incident Friday after state police learned he was there. He was charged with first-degree manslaughter.
Police responded to the on-ramp in April 2013 for a report of an unresponsive woman. Twenty-one-year-old Brenda Hernandez was found in the passenger seat and pronounced dead at a hospital.
A preliminary investigation found Hernandez was arguing with someone in the back seat and may have been trying to exit the moving vehicle. Authorities say the back-seat passenger was restraining her when she went limp.
Martinez was held on $250,000 bond. He's scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
