Police say a man barricaded himself inside his home Sunday afternoon as officers were serving him a warrant.
Officials say the man on Sylvan Avenue claimed to have a knife and would hurt himself if they did not back off.
They say there was a brief stand-off and that the man eventually surrendered after his mother arrived on scene and spoke to him.
Police say the man had minor self-inflicted cuts on his wrists.
