Police say two people were injured when several people tried to shoot them in Bridgeport Friday.

They say multiple shooters walked up to the pair who were sitting in a parked car and opened fire.

Police say the pair were not struck by bullets, but were injured by flying glass from car windows.

It happened on the 200th block of George Street around 9:30 p.m.

Police say the victims drove themselves to Saint Vincent's Medical Center, where they were treated for their wounds and later released.

Investigators say they have no doubt that the man and woman were targeted by the shooters, and they are in the process of collecting surveillance video and trying to track down the suspects.
