Police say the public played a big role in the arrest of a New York man accused of holding up a Stamford gas station.
They say Keith Conklin, 27, of New York, turned himself in after learning he was identified as the suspect responsible for the incident that happened at the Springdale Shell on Aug. 28.
Police say they received tips about Conklin's identity moments after a video was shown on TV and throughout social media.
Conklin is also the suspect in a different larceny at the same gas station in 2016.
