Police say they are probing an apparent act of vandalism on the grounds of the Wilton Hindu Temple.

The temple's spiritual leader said that he discovered a rock was thrown through the window of a building there on Monday.

In response, more than 100 people from the town gathered at the temple last night to show their support.

The town's first selectman says the outpouring of support is reflective of the type of place Wilton is. She also stressed all members of the Hindu community should know they are welcome there.
