Police are warning Eversource customers about a possible scam.
Westport police say multiple businesses have been targeted following the storm.
Authorities say people call pretending to be from Eversource Energy. The callers then tell customers that power will not be back unless they pay over the phone.
Norwalk police also are reporting similar incidents.
Eversource responded on Twitter saying, "Our crews have been working tirelessly to restore power and would never ask for additional payment. If you have any questions about the legitimacy of a call, please call us directly and report it to your local police department."
